Educational Support Group *Finishing Stages*

Online support group and educational program for victims of stalking.

Stalking victims often feel alienated and fearful for their well-being. Stalking support groups can help alleviate this sense of isolation and provide victims with an opportunity to express their feelings in a safe and understanding environment.

By sharing your stories and feelings, you learn that you are not alone and can help one another to overcome feelings of frustration, loneliness, and despair. Connecting members to others who listen, believe, and support them, the group helps diminish the damaging effects of being stalked.

There are two components to this collaborative effort to help victims cope with the physical and emotional impact of stalking. The combination of the Learning Program and the Support Group creates a nexus of features that together, form a psychoeducational format that aims to educate members on safety issues, etc. as well as provide emotional support to help victims cope with the ongoing trauma of stalking.

  • The Learning Program is where we store and dive deeper into all the tips, tricks, and tidbits to help empower victims to better manage their cases, their safety, different healing modalities, and their peace of mind. It is a learning module presented using fun interactive videos, activities, etc. It also will personalize the experience you get based on your answers. This is where the educational content of this program is located.

  • Think of the Support Group as the community page where members can communicate, share and collaborate to give each other a sense of belonging and unity while overcoming this crisis. In this group, we will have weekly discussions on the topics included in the Learning Program. We also will have special guests of different professional backgrounds to do live meetings allowing Q&A. This is where the support portion of this program is located.

Members of this Educational Support Group will be able to navigate through the content on the Learning Program at their own pace, as well as have the ability to access the Support Group 24/7.

Because this is a safe place for victims of stalking, we will not let just anyone in to join this group. We take your privacy seriously and want to ensure that everyone feels safe to freely post and talk. Therefore, ONLY SITE MEMBERS who have completed the identification verification process during sign-up process are allowed to enter into this group. As courtesy, we also ask the name of your stalker if you have that information, so we know not to accept that person into this group.

When you apply for the Educational Support Group, you will have to submit a Client Registration application and it will then direct you to create an account with The Fight 4 Light website. Once you are accepted, you will have access to both the Learning Program and the Support Group through your Member's Menu if on your desktop. There is a dedicated app available if using a mobile device to make the experience more user-friendly! This will be available for download after submitting the application. If you have any issues getting this set up, please reach out and let us know so we can walk you through it!
